JulieRead_alteredWelcome! I’m Julie, your one stop shop for making your muscles sore and then showing you ways to get them un-sore. I joke…well, just a little. You see, I’m a personal trainer and a licensed massage therapist so I’m your one stop body shop.

I’ve been interested in wellness for a long time – I started gymnastics when I was a kid and haven’t stopped moving since. I’ve done several types of workouts over the past 30 years – everything from gymnastics to running, hammer throwing, CrossFit, and weight lifting. In between those I’ve also swam and taken on a 350 mile bike ride with my Dad and sister.

A few years ago I was looking for a change from the 9-to-5 world so I went to massage school. On the first day of school I was told that our lives would never look the same. Wow, my teacher was right. A year and a half later I left my job in finance and started a business helping people to make the most of their body. Since then I’ve been busy seeing clients 1-1, working for some awesome gyms (shout out to KG Strong and Warhorse Barbell!), drawing muscles, and taking as many continuing education courses as my budget allows.

When I’m not working or working out, I’m cooking new meals at home with my husband, planning our next trip, or exploring all of what Philadelphia has to offer. Oh…and, trying to wrangle our teen-dog, Rosie.
